Otter Tail Lake is a pleasantly sized lake located in west-central Minnesota. The lake is part of the Otter Tail River chain of lakes, andthe tenth largest lake within the borders of Minnesota. Otter Tail Lake is known for having good water clarity and being bordered by an abundance of tall trees that seasonally transform to beautiful colors in the autumn.
The shore of the lake and shallower areas are composed of sand and gravel, and the surrounding trees act as a windbreak that keeps those shallow areas calm compared to the rest of the lake. Visitors love Otter Tail Lake for the great fishing, boating, and other water sports. Power boats, jet skis, and sailing are all common activities that are enjoyed during the warm seasons on Otter Tail lake.
